Windsor is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,286 at the 2000 census. A portion of the town was part of a disputed annexation by the Village of DeForest. In July 2004 the village and town reached a settlement in which part of the disputed area would be annexed by the village and part would remain with the town. In addition, the town and village agreed to exchange other less populated land.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 79.9 km² (30.8 mi²). 79.6 km² (30.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.32%) is water.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 27.0% from 45 to 64, and 6.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 98.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
