New Richmond is a city in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, United States. The population is estimated to be 7,800 residents.

On June 12, 1899, a deadly F5 tornado struck New Richmond. The tornado's damage path was 300 yards wide and 30 miles long. It killed 117 people and injured 200 others from Star Prairie, making it the 8th deadliest tornado in U.S. history.
