Rosenberg is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas within Fort Bend County and is part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown Metropolitan Area. The population was 24,043 at the 2000 census. Updated census projections from 2002-2003 place the population near 30,000.

Brazos Bend State Park
Only forty five miles from downtown Houston, the 4,897-acre Brazos Bend State Park (BBSP) supports an abundant and diverse wildlife population. Campsites and picnic areas are located among huge, moss-draped live oaks, while trails run along the lakes and through bottomland hardwood forests of oaks and pecans. Brazos Bend State Park opened to the public in April of 1984 and quickly became one of the most popular parks in Texas. Since then, Brazos Bend has received over eight million visitors from around the world. The park offers nearly one hundred campsites, twenty one miles of hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, a visitor/education center, gift shop, an award winning handicapped accessible trail, interpretive programs, special events, and the George Observatory.

Fort Bend County Fair
Through the years, the Fort Bend County Fair has grown into one of the largest and most successful fairs in the state. Youth education is a primary focus in fair activities. Development of a scholarship program has provided deserving students with scholarships to Texas colleges and universities.

The Fort Bend Museum portrays Fort Bend County history from Austin's Colony in 1822 to 1945. At the Fort Bend Museum journey through time and experience life on the Brazos River and the Fort Bend story through dioramas and displays.

Rosenberg Railroad Museum
Exhibits include artifacts representing each of the eight railroads that traversed Fort Bend County, items from Tower 17, railroad occupations, signaling, artifacts relevant to the 1879 Quebec railcar, express company items, and railroad advertising.

The George Observatory, located in the attractive Brazos Bend State Park, is a satellite facility of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The Observatory houses a Challenger Learning Center for Space Science Education and numerous other exhibits.
