Odessa is a city located in and the county seat of Ector County in the U.S. State of Texas, United States of America. Odessa's population was 90,943 at the 2000 United States Census, with a 2005 census population estimated projection of 93,546. The city and its surrounding suburbs had a population of 125,339 as of 2005. Odessa is the principal city of and is included in the Odessa, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Midland, Texas-Odessa, Texas Combined Statistical Area (of which both Midland and twin city Odessa are co-principal cities). The Midland�Odessa metropolitan area had a population 241,316 as of the July 1, 2004 estimate.
