Johnstown is a city in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States, 65 miles east of Pittsburgh and 46 miles (76.6 km) west-south west of Altoona, Pennsylvania. The population was 27,906 at the 2000 census. It is the principal city of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Cambria County (including the entire city of Johnstown.) The Metropolitan Statistical Area has a population of over 152,593.
