Hershey is an unincorporated community within Derry Township in Dauphin County in the U.S. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, 14 miles east of Harrisburg. The population was 12,771 at the 2000 census.

Hershey is located at 40.278423 - 76.651240. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 37.4 km² (14.4 mi²). 37.3 km² (14.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.35%) is water.
