Edinboro is a borough in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. As home to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, it is a small college town, as well as a "resort community". The population was 6,950 at the 2000 census.

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, is a major contributor to the local economy. Edinboro University was founded in 1857.
