Redmond is a city in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is named for Frank T. Redmond, who settled near the present site of the town in 1905. It is part of the Bend, Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Area. Redmond's 2006 population is 23,500.

Redmond is located at 44.268978, -121.183487. It is 16 miles north of Bend on U.S. Highway 97. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 26.5 km² (10.2 mi²), all land. Because of its high elevation, Redmond's climate is considered high desert.

In the city the population was spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 18.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 93.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.0 males.
