East Liverpool is a city in Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. The population was 13,089 at the 2000 census. It is located along the Ohio River and borders the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Long known as the "Pottery Capital of the World," East Liverpool and the immediate area are still home to three major potteries. The city is perhaps best known as the hometown of former University of Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz, and as the city to which the body of slain bank robber Pretty Boy Floyd was taken for embalming. The Point of Beginning is just east of the city, on the Ohio-Pennsylvania border.

East Liverpool is located at 40.628510, -80.569063. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.7 km² (4.5 mi²). 11.3 km² (4.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (3.97%) is water.
