Centerville is a city in Montgomery and Greene Counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. A part of the Greater Dayton Area, its population was 23,024 as of the 2000 census. Centerville is located at 39.638709, -84.148087. Although it lies along the border with Greene County and Warren County, the city is located only in Montgomery County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 26.5 km² (10.2 mi²). 26.4 km² (10.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.002%) is water.

The Town Hall Theatre, run by the Recreation Center, is located in the "Heart of Centerville", and has been serving the community for over 70 years. The town's Fourth of July parade, the Americana Festival, draws thousands of people each year.
