Henrietta is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. It is a suburb of Rochester. The population was 39,028 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Countess of Bath, daughter of William Johnstone Pulteney, a major British investor in U.S. real estate at the end of the 18th century. Henrietta is home to the Rochester Institute of Technology. Henrietta was established in 1818.
The west town line is defined by the Genesee River. To the north is the town of Brighton, to the east is the town of Pittsford, and to the South is the town of Rush. On the other side of the Genesee River is the town of Chili.
