Kimball is a city in Kimball County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 2,559 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Kimball County. Kimball is located at 41.233693, -103.659463. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.0 km² (1.5 mi²), all land.

Kimball bills itself literally as the "The High Point of Nebraska!", as the highest point in Nebraska is just out side of town. Panorama Point is located at N 41 degrees 00.461 minutes, W 104 degrees 01.883 minutes, 5,424 feet above sea level, and is marked by a small monument.
