Troy is a city in Lincoln County, Missouri, United States. The population was 6,737 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Lincoln County. Troy is located at 38.974922, -90.977132. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 15.4 km² (5.9 mi²). 15.4 km² (5.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.17% is water.

Troy is home to Cuivre River State Park, one of the largest of Missouri's state parks. The 6393-acre park was established in 1946 and offers camping, fishing on Big Sugar Creek, swimming, and hiking. The park currently has a number of hiking trails: Hamilton Hollow Trail, Frenchman's Bluff Trail, Cuivre River Trail, Big Sugar Creek Trail, Turkey Hollow Trail, Mossy Hill Trail, Lone Spring Trail, Lakeside Trail, Prairie Trail, and
Blazing Star Trail.
