Blue Springs is a city in Jackson County, Missouri and is a satellite city of Kansas City, Missouri. The population was 48,080 at the 2000 census. Blue Springs is located at 39.017794, -94.274421. Blue Springs offers a tremendous parks system-encompassing 14 parks and over 300 acres. Lighted baseball, softball and tennis courts are available with playground equipment, shelter houses and restroom facilities nearby. Additionally, the Jackson County Parks system, including Lake Jacomo and Blue Springs Lake, adds another 3,000 acres of parkland to our area. Both lakes have full-service marinas, swimming beaches and shelter house facilities.

Golf facilities are available both in and around Blue Springs. The City of Blue Springs opened Adams Pointe Golf Club.
