Waseca is a city in Waseca County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 8,493 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Waseca County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 12.8 km² (4.9 mi²). 9.9 km² (3.8 mi²) of it is land and 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²) of it (22.42%) is water.
