Pipestone is a city in Pipestone County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,280 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Pipestone County. The city is also the site of the Pipestone National Monument. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.2 km² (3.9 mi²), all land.

Minnesota West Community & Technical College, based in Pipestone, offers post-secondary classes.
