The city of North Branch sits at the junction of Interstate Highway 35 and Minnesota Highway 95, and is located in Chisago County, Minnesota, USA. The population was 8,023 at the 2000 census. It is named for the North Branch of the Sunrise River, which flows through the city.

Wild River State Park - A place for all seasons. Campgrounds, trails, trail center, visitor center, picnic shelter, cabins and guest house, naturalist programs, cross country ski snowshoe and canoe rentals.

Sunrise Prairie Trail - The trail features a 10-foot-wide paved surface facilitating hikers, bicyclists and inline skaters during the spring, summer and fall. The parallel unpaved portion is open to snowmobilers when there is sufficient snow, and to horseback riders at all other times. Snowmobiles and horses are not allows on the paved portion of the trail at any time.
