Baraga is a village in Baraga County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,285 at the 2000 census. The village is named after Bishop Frederic Baraga.

The village is located at the junction of US-41 and M-38 in the southeast corner of Baraga Township at 46°46'43"N, 88°29'20"W.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.9 km² (2.3 mi²). 5.9 km² (2.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (1.32%) is water.

In the village the population was spread out with 27.2% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 22.0% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 87.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.4 males.
