Southport is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 684 at the 2000 census. It was part of Boothbay, Maine until it separated in 1842. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.0 km² (13.9 mi²). 14.0 km² (5.4 mi²) of it is land and 22.0 km² (8.5 mi²) of it (61.22%) is water.

In the town the population was spread out with 14.6% under the age of 18, 3.5% from 18 to 24, 15.4% from 25 to 44, 35.7% from 45 to 64, and 30.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 53 years. For every 100 females there were 95.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.3 males.
