Bingham is a town in Somerset County, Maine, United States that was first settled in 1785 and is named after William Bingham, banker and poltician that at one time owned millions of acres of land in Maine. The population was 989 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 90.6 km² (35.0 mi²). 89.6 km² (34.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it (1.17%) is water.

In the town the population was spread out with 22.9% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 20.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 90.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.7 males.
