Saugus is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 26,078 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 30.4 km² (11.8 mi²). 28.5 km² (11.0 mi²) of it is land and 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²) of it (6.55%) is water. While the town has a shoreline, it doesn't have a beach.
