Berea is a city in Madison County, Kentucky, United States. In 2004, the city population was 12,738. Its most prominent institution is Berea College, which owns a substantial percentage of the city's land. It is also one of the fastest growing towns in Kentucky. Berea erea is situated in southern Madison County near the edge of central Kentucky's Blue Grass Region. The city is located 39 miles south of Lexington, Kentucky; 113 miles southeast of Louisville, Kentucky; and 132 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee. Boasting a small town atmosphere and rich cultural and historic roots makes Berea an ideal place to live, work and play.

Arts & Crafts:
Adjacent from the depot you will find Honeysuckle Vine I & II, which feature Bybee Pottery, year round Christmas decorations, a wonderful collection of cornshuck flowers and wreaths by Dinah Tyree, yard art, delicious regional foods and much more. Here you’ll also find the working studio and the unique handmade glass of Hot Flash Bead artist, Jimmy Lou Jackson, who is nationally known for lampwork beads.

Weavers Bottom holds a corner spot on Broadway. Here you can see the the weavings and cornshuck dolls of Neil and Mary Colmer.
