Boaters enjoy mooring or launching from the Portage Public Marina or the many private marinas for a day or a week on Lake Michigan. In the winter, skiers take advantage of the extensive cross-country trail network within our city and national parks. The Portage-Duneland Trail and Iron Horse Trail provided bikers, hikers, and skaters with miles of opportunity to get out and enjoy the natural environment.
