Grinnell is a city in Poweshiek County, Iowa, United States. The population was 9,105 at the 2000 census. Founded in 1854, Grinnell has produced an awe-inspiring list of architectural treasures. One of which we are particularly proud is the National Historic Landmark Grinnell Sullivan building, designed by Louis Sullivan, and located in historic downtown Grinnell.

Grinnell was named after Josiah Bushnell Grinnell and is the home of Grinnell College. Grinnell College has an extensive calendar of cultural exhibits, symposiums and performances open to the public.
