Stuart is a city in Martin County, Florida, on Florida's Treasure Coast. The population was 14,633 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 15,728. It is the county seat of Martin County, and is also the site of the Martin County Fair.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.1 km² (8.5 mi²). 16.3 km² (6.3 mi²) of it is land and 5.7 km² (2.2 mi²) of it is water.
