Glastonbury is located in Central Connecticut east of the Connecticut River and just 10 minutes Southeast of the state capital, Hartford. Glastonbury is strategically located 9 miles from Hartford, 90 miles from Boston, 102 miles from New York City, 59 miles from Providence and just 20 minutes from the state's major airport. Glastonbury is easily accessible from Route 2, I-84 and I-91.
The town begins on the banks of the Connecticut River and extends up into foothills, many of which provide a view of Hartford's skyline.
