The City of Orange is located in Orange County, California, USA. It is approximately 3 miles (6 kilometers) north of the County seat in Santa Ana, California, and approximately 32 miles (52 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. Orange is unusual in that many of the homes in its Old Town District were built prior to 1920; whereas many other cities in the region demolished those houses in the 1960s, Orange decided to preserve them.

A quiet, scenic fishing lake nestled at the base of the Cleveland National Forest, the 700-acre Irvine Lake is fed by Santiago Creek. Irvine Lake provides an excellent fishing and family park environment, and a fishing license is not required.
