Lake Arrowhead is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, USA. The population was 8,934 at the 2000 census. Lake Arrowhead Village is an unincorporated community, with the Chamber of Commerce the de facto governing body. As of January 2007, Kirk Coult is the Chairman and Lewis Murray is the President/CEO of the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce.

There are many art galleries throughout the communities (many internationally known artists make the area their home) and there are also local theatre groups.

Twice a year the Lake Arrowhead Rotary Club brings in artists from all over Southern California to showcase their work in a lakeside Art & Wine Festival. In addition almost every weekend there is a craft fair, bike race, a 15K run, an antique boat show, an ice show, community dances or some other event held for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors. Fourth of July fireworks over the lake is a Southern California tradition.

Lake Arrowhead is also the home of the Mountain Skies Astronomical Society, the largest member organization of its kind in the world. This group has designed a 1.8 million dollar, 6,500 sq. ft. facility which will house a state of the art observatory and a science education center on a three acre site along the Rim of the World Highway. Lake Arrowhead skies are among the best in the world for star watching.

Because of its central location in Southern California, day trips as well as overnight stays are easily accessible. There are enough attractions to keep you busy.
