Yorkton is a city in the south-east of Saskatchewan, Canada, near the Manitoba border. Attractions include the Yorkton Western Development Museum, the Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival, held annually since 1947, the Painted Hand Casino, the Yorkton Bulldogs lacrosse team, and the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Yorkton is the site of the Yorkton Western Development Museum, which houses a number of exhibits depicting pioneer life in the town and on the surrounding prairie. The museum includes an extensive outdoor exhibit of agricultural machinery, including early tractors and steam engines.

Opportunities to experience the performing and visual arts while in Yorkton are extensive. The city is fortunate to have an excellent theatre facility, the Anne Portnuff Theatre at the Yorkton Regional High School, in which live performances are presented.

The Godfrey Dean Art Gallery presents local, regional and national art exhibits. Exhibits change regularly, and there is no fee to visit the gallery.

And Yorkton boasts the longest-running film festival in North America, held every spring and featuring Canadian short films and videos.
