Valemount is a village of 1200 people in east central British Columbia, Canada. It is situated between the Rocky, Monashee, and Cariboo mountain ranges. It is the nearest community to the west of Jasper National Park, and is also the nearest community to Mount Robson Provincial Park, which features Mount Robson, the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies. Outdoor recreation is popular in summer and winter--hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and horseback riding are common activities.

In summer, many tour companies operate in Valemount. Visitors can do anything from whitewater or gentle raft trips, to guided tours around the wildlife sanctuary at the edge of the town. In Winter, snowmobilers come to Valemount for our mountains and powder snow. There are also several tour companies that have skiing packages available, including heli-skiing.
